From April 2019 through December 2019 we will conduct a multi-tiered outreach campaign to include a grassroots screening tour of the film focused on locations in Indian Country, and other screenings on the campuses of colleges and universities and in partnership with other organizations nationwide.
The overarching goals for the outreach campaign are to bring justice to the Native American women who were forcibly sterilized and to ensure that the film reaches the widest possible audience through community and grassroots screenings and eventual purchase by a broadcast or steaming network.
We have partnered with the Native American Community Board and its #Breakthesilence campaign for the grassroots screening tour and a dedicated toll-free number for victims of sterilization.
We are also grateful to Anthony Gonzales, Director of American Indian Movement-West (AIM-West) whose invitation to screen the film at the United Nations during the April 2019 United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) will help formally launch the outreach campaign.
